Faneuil Hall Marketplace and CBS Boston’s WBZ-TV Present Tree Lighting on Saturday November 22nd at Faneuil Hall Marketplace from 2pm- 9pm

What: Faneuil Hall Marketplace and CBS Boston’s WBZ-TV are presenting the season’s first Holiday Tree Lighting with a day full of entertainment on Saturday, November 22nd starting at 2:00 p.m. Additionally, the festivities will be televised from 8:00 p.m. –9:00 p.m. during a live program broadcast entitled “Faneuil Hall Tree Lighting Spectacular” on CBS Boston’s WBZ-TV and rebroadcast at 10:00 p.m. on myTV38 (WSBK-TV).

Programming 2:00p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Entertainment Area – Main Stage at Marketplace Center

2:00 p.m. Arrival of Globe Santa and the Christmas Revels

3:00 p.m. The Love Dogs presented by Scullers Jazz Club

4:00 p.m. Jilly Martin and Ryan Brooks Kelly presented by the Hard Rock Cafe

7:00p.m. Pre-show entertainment with the Sugarbabies Band

8:00p.m.- 9:00p.m. Live televised broadcast (WBZ-TV and rebroadcast on myTV38 WSBK-TV)

The program will feature holiday performances by the Tanglewood Festival Chorus conducted by Maestro Keith Lockhart, Jilly Martin and Ryan Kelly Brooks, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, The Nutcracker by the Boston Ballet and the Sugarbabies Band.

Mayor Martin J. Walsh will join the festivities with a reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and will help “flip the switch” to light the almost 90 foot tree. The event will also kick off the New England Patriots Annual Holiday Toy Drive for which Faneuil Hall Marketplace will be a drop off location for toy donations for needy children.
