FIRE REPORT: Bicyclist Hit by Car on Mt. Auburn St. and Bus Driver Hits Pole

Also, a woman had a medical incident on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Path.

A bicyclist suffered minor injuries when he was struck by a car while riding on Mt. Auburn Street near Marshall Street.

The accident occurred at 9:15 p.m. on May 28, and the 34-year-old man was transported to Mount Auburn Hospital.

"He was boarded and (his neck) was collared," said Watertown Deputy Fire Chief Dan Tardiff. "That is protocol due to the nature of the injuries."

Bus Driver Crashes After Medical Incident

An MBTA bus struck a light pole on Arsenal Street at Birch Street on June 1 at 3:36 p.m. after the driver had a medical problem, injuring two passengers.

The Watertown Police officer told firefighters that the driver may have had a seizure, according to the Watertown Fire Log.

The driver was able to pull over and apply the brakes, but he struck a light pole.

Woman Collapses on Bike Path

Firefighters went to the Pleasant Street Bike Path to treat a woman who was lying in the grass on May 31 at 4:34 p.m.

The woman had a bottle of prescription pills, and firefighters suspected it may have been taken too many pills, according to the Fire Log.

The woman, who was not cooperative, was transported to Mount Auburn Hospital.
