“Now. Why why why would Miss Georgia roofie a Republican aide and a liberal blogger on the eve of the Miss America Competition? She must have a reason. It must be exciting. I do, and it is!” – The Taming

On January 20th, join Flat Earth Theatre and more than 50 other theatre companies nationwide for Lauren Gunderon's Inauguration Day Project. We’ll be hosting a staged reading of Gunderson’s feminist political farce The Taming at 8pm at The Church of the Good Shepherd on Russell Ave in Watertown.

Juliet Bowler directs Cassandra Meyer as a right-wing congressional staffer of fierce ambition, Marty Seeger Mason as an internet revolutionary with great compassion for small mammals, and Kiki Samko as an asipiring Miss America with a plan to change the world, in a pantsless hostage situation that aspires to rock the foundations of American Constitutional Government. Offstage voices by Lindsay Eagle, and guest appearances by both George and Martha Washington. Don’t forget to wear your tiara and/or your powdered wig!

This event is free and open to the public (no tickets or reservations required), but audience members
can make an optional donation to benefit BAGLY, the Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Youth.
