Friend Indicted for Manslaughter in Watertown Man's Drowning

Witnesses allege Lenny Quintero-Flores used his feet to push Mitchell Harrison into the Charles after the two were seen drinking together.

WATERTOWN, MA – A Malden man was indicted Friday on charges of manslaughter in the drowning death of his friend over the summer, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

A Suffolk County grand jury on Friday returned the indictment of 27-year-old Lenny Quintero-Flores.

The indictment comes after prosecutors say he and Mitchell Harrison, 27, of Watertown, were seen drinking together along the Charles River near the Mass. Ave. Bridge in late June. Witnesses allege Quintero-Flores used his feet to push Harrison, who was either asleep or unconscious, into the water.

Quintero-Flores previously told reporters he and Harrison were friends, and were just "playing around" when the incident occurred.
