Funeral Homes Offer $2K Reward For Watertown Cemetery Vandal

Several headstones and a monument were knocked over at St. Patrick's Cemetery last week.

WATERTOWN, MA – Two area funeral homes are pitching in to help find those responsible for alleged vandalism at a Watertown cemetery last week. Brasco & Sons Funeral Home of Waltham and Belmont and Joyce Funeral Home of Waltham have offered a collective $2,000 reward for information leading to the identity of the person or persons who damaged several headstones and a monument at St. Patrick's Cemetery, police said.

St. Patrick's Cemetery at 925 Belmont St. was vandalized Tuesday night, according to police. In total, seven headstones and one monument dedicated to the Marist Missionary Sisters were intentionally knocked over, police said.

Anyone with information about the crime, or who noticed suspicious activity at the cemetery, is asked to call the Watertown Police Department at 617-972-6500.
