Gatorade Links a String of Car Break Ins in East Watertown to a Stolen Car
Police found a Gatorade bottle in a stolen car which they believe was taken from another car broken into in the same area.

Police officer discovered a car with its doors open early on the morning of May 7, and the only thing missing appeared to be two bottles of Gatorade – which turned up later.
The 1994 Ford Van was found on Prentiss Street and when officers looked inside they found two bottles of Gatorade were missing from a case inside the van, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.
As they searched the area, police spotted a 1993 Buick Skylark with its trunk, driver's side front and read doors all open, Lawn said.

"Inside they found an open container of Gatorade leaning against a jacket," Lawn said.
Nearby on Dewey Street, police found a 1995 Buick with its doors open, but nothing appeared to be missing.

A car on Arlington Street was found with its passenger side door open, and a black bag with martial arts gear inside was missing.
On the afternoon of May 7, the owner of a 1999 Jeep Wrangler reported his vehicle was stolen from Prentiss Street, Lawn said. The car had been left in the driveway with the keys inside, Lawn said.
"We later learned the vehicle involved in motor vehicle accident on Mt. Auburn Street at Coolidge Avenue in Cambridge at 1 a.m.," Lawn said. "A white male, 20-30 years old, wearing a baseball hat fled the scene. Found inside was a Gatorade bottle and a martial arts bag."
