The goose is recovering after police found the injured bird in May.

WATERTOWN, MA – A goose is recovering at an area animal hospital after police found it shot with a blow dart last month. The bird was injured on the Charles River in the area of the Dealtry Memorial Pool, police said.

Due to the efforts of Watertown Animal Control and the Animal Rescue League of Boston, the goose was captured and sent to the Tufts Wildlife Clinic.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Karen O'Reilly at Watertown Animal Control, 617-972-6446. Residents are also asked to help spread the word and report any criminal or suspicious activity in the area.
