Help Watertown Kids Get to School Safely This Year

It'll be a cold one, but you'll be helping the kids stay safe.

WATERTOWN, MA – Watertown is seeking crossing guards for the current school year to work under the supervision of the Watertown Police Department.

Responsibilities will include monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic at assigned crossings while ensuring the orderly flow of traffic. Interested applicants must be able to communicate effectively with children, parents and drivers, be able to stand for the entire shift and tolerate all types of weather conditions.

Crossing guards are required to have a high school diploma or GED and be available to work Monday through Friday during the school year. Shifts are approximately one hour and there are two shifts per day. A criminal background check and pre-employment physical are also mandatory.

The salary is $14.90 an hour without benefits.
