Hidden Brook

Join us for Hidden Brook, a contemplative service with candlelight, chant, prayer, silence, music, and poetry. We will celebrate the
lives of Catherine of Alexandria, martyr, 25 November 310, and Isaac Watts,
hymn writer, 25 November 1748. Isaac Watts, the "Father of Hymns", is
best known for the hymn "O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years
to come, ..." based on Psalm 90, and the Christmas carol "Joy to the
World." Noteworthy is that this carol, the most published carol in North
America, was not written as a Christmas carol. Come and find out its
story! Stay for refreshments and conversation.
