Rustic Crust brought out its portable pizza oven and the students at the Perkins School for the Blind tried their hand at making pies.
Students at Perkins School for the Blind got a tasty lesson last week when Rustic Crust brought in its portable wood-fired over and made pizzas for the children on Friday, July 15.
Before they went into the fiery oven, the children got to put on their own sauce, cheese and choice of toppings - including mushrooms, green peppers, olives, pineapple and artichokes.
Isaiah, a five-year old who attends Perkins, put olives and pineapple on his pie.

Rustic Crust, which is based in New Hampshire, sells its products in many supermarkets in the Boston area. CEO Brad Sterl said the company stresses having the best kinds of ingredients.
"People stress wellness and healthy eating, and we use all natural and organic ingredients," Sterl said. "And we try to use locally grown ingredients. In the summer we use locally grown herbs."
Even with the healthy ingredients, the pizzas got good reviews from the students, including 13-year-old Cullen.
"Ya, it's good!" he said.
