Campers at Club Invention spent the week being inventors at Lowell School.
Campers showed off their creations to their parents, teachers and others on the final afternoon of Club Invention at Lowell School on July 22.
The 58 children learned about science and engineering while working in teams to put together their inventions. Friday, they showed off their Rube Goldberg machines – overly complicated devices designed to do simple tasks.
Camp Director Matt Loughran, a teacher at Watertown High School and tech ed coordinator at Watertown Middle School, ran the camp with the help of Liz Loughran, a teacher in Dedham, Lynsey Kraemer, a teacher at WHS, and WME teacher Kathryn Smeglin. Watertown teens also worked with the youngsters.
