Local Priest Presides at Nationally Televised Mass

Native of Waltham Presides Nationally Televised Mass on CatholicTV

Tuesday, April 14, 2015 Watertown, Mass. - The daily Catholic Mass was celebrated at the Watertown studios of CatholicTV in the Chapel of Holy Cross on Tuesday, April 14th.


Reverend Peter Francis DeFazio, Parochial Vicar of St. James and St. John the Baptist parishes in Haverhill presided today’s daily mass. He was joined by Ross Willoughby of St. Stephens Parish in Framingham who served as lector for the Mass and Patricia Kelly who served at the altar.


Father DeFazio is the current Parochial Vicar at St. James and St. John the Baptist. He was ordained to the priesthood in May, 2014 and celebrated his first Mass at Sacred Heart Parish in Watertown, which is also his home parish. Previous to his ordination, he graduated from Pope Saint John XXIII National Seminary and fulfilled his diaconate assignment at St. Stephen Parish in Framingham.
