In the Avery Give Back to Schools promotion, all you have to do is vote with your mouse! The top five schools at the end of the promotion will each win $10,000 worth of Avery School Supplies, 10,000 Bonus Box Tops coupons, and $1,000 worth of gift cards. Twenty-five runner-up schools will also win 5,000 Bonus Box Tops coupons, worth $500.

The Lowell PTO is asking for the Watertown community’s help by registering with the web site and voting one time each day until Sept. 16. As of this writing, the Lowell Elementary is in 45th place which is up from over 300th place when the school first registered to participate.

Linda Tracy, President of the Lowell PTO, commented “This contest gives our community an easy way to participate and help our schools. As budgets continue to be difficult, contests such as the Avery Give Back to Schools offer a no cost way for everyone to help. Supplies continue to be a large expense for schools, and teachers often ask families to make contributions during the year. Alleviating this expense can go a long way in helping fund other programs at the Lowell.”

To register and vote, please visit: http://www.avery.com/giveback. The easiest way to find the Lowell Elementary is to look by zip code 02472 and then select the Lowell Elementary. Please vote every day until September 16th and spread the word to friends and relatives.

The Lowell School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of parents and teachers that voluntarily work together to enhance the programs and instruction at the JR Lowell Elementary School.

Through our efforts so far this year we have provided many classroom items such as Study Island site licenses to prepare students for the MCAS exams, library books, supplies, and student subscriptions to educational magazines.

The new Lowell Times school newspaper, written by students, is also funded by the PTO. In addition, the PTO supports field trips and assemblies to further enhance student learning.
