A man wearing a motorcycle helmet tried to rob on Main Street with a knife, Thursday morning. He did not get any money, but left the area before being captured, said Watertown Police Sgt. Thomas Grady

"It wasn’t a complete robbery, it was an attempted robbery," Grady said. "It is being investigated at this point."

The man reportedly ran eastbound down Main Street toward Watertown Square, Grady said, but was not seen afterward.
Police did not get a detailed description because the suspect wore a motocycle helmet with a full face shield, which prevented store workers from getting a good look at the man, Grady said.
