Man Wrote a Check for Nearly $4K to Himself from a Watertown Company
Innosight discovered the fraudulent check and fired the man. Charges may be filed.

Officials at a Watertown company discovered an employee had written himself a check for nearly $4,000, said Police Lt. Michael Lawn.
, located in the Watertown Arsenal on Talcott Avenue, reported to police on July 19 that they found that a fraudulent check, Lawn said.
“An employee who had only been working at the company for three weeks wrote a check for $3,847.92 to a company that he owned – and he cashed the check,” Lawn said. “He was confronted by the manager and police and he admitted to the theft.”

The man was fired, and charges may be filed, Lawn said. Police did not release the man’s name.
