MBTA Bus Wire Malfunctions in Watertown Square
According to Transit Police, one of the power lines on the electric bus came off and started sparking Wednesday afternoon.

Watertown, MA – Police were called to Watertown Square Wednesday afternoon after a power line on an MBTA electric bus became dislodged.
According to MBTA Transit Police, the cable started sparking and burning as the bus traveled through the square.
Watertown Police told Patch the malfunction resulted in a small flames that were extinguished. Power to the bus was cut at the scene.

The MBTA is expected to repair the wires overnight after the system shuts down at 1 a.m. No injuries were reported.
