Nonprofit Offers to Shovel Watertown Drives for Free Again This Winter

Watertown Prosperity's program has student volunteers shovel for elderly and disable residents who need the help.

A Watertown nonprofit will be offering a free snow shoveling for elderly and disabled residents again this winter.

The program by Watertown Prosperity Inc. assigns student volunteers Middle School students to homeowners who need help clearing the snow from the driveways and walkways. Volunteers also will help clear the snow away from some residents’ cars. This will be the second year for the program.

Residents who would like to be considered for the program and students who want to volunteer should contact Watertown Prosperity via its website.
