Nora Roberts Foundation Supports National Braille Press
The Nora Roberts Foundation recently awarded a $5,000 grant to the National Braille Press.

Boston – (June 28, 2016) – The National Braille Press announced today that it has received a grant of $5,000 from the Nora Roberts Foundation to promote braille literacy. The primary focus of the foundation is to support literacy, dating back to Roberts’ roots as an author and her understanding of the power of the written word. The Nora Roberts Foundation seeks to aid organizations that empower people through literacy.
“We are grateful to the Nora Roberts Foundation for this grant,” said Brian MacDonald, President of the National Braille Press. “Our mission, to increase literacy… specifically braille literacy, fits nicely with the mission of the Nora Roberts Foundation.”
In 2001, Nora Roberts created the Nora Roberts Foundation to support organizations that promote literacy, children, the arts, and humanitarian efforts. According to the Nora Roberts Foundation, these areas, particularly important to Roberts and her family, serve as the focus of the foundation.
