Norsman Avenue Home Broken Into While Resident Watches TV

Burglar got in through a back window and stole jewelry and other items.

A burglar broke in to a home on Norsman Avenue and stole a woman’s pocketbook and jewelry while she was in the kitchen watching television.

The Norsman Avenue resident told police sometime between 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on April 22, someone broke into her home and stole the items, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

“Someone cut the screen on a back window, went into the bedroom and removed a pocketbook and jewelry,” Lawn said. “She found a chair under the window.”

Near the chair, the resident found her empty pocketbook and empty jewelry boxes, Lawn said.

Police ask anyone who saw a suspicious person in the area to contact the Watertown Police Department at 617-972-6500.
