Pair Caught Smoking Crack Near Dealtry Pool in Watertown

Watertown Police nabbed a man and woman allegedly smoking crack by the MDC on Pleasant Street, just after midnight on Oct. 18.

An officer patrolling near the pool near the banks of the Charles River spotted two people sitting in the dark under a tree by the pool, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

“The female got up and the officer observed a crack pipe on the ground with a small amount of residue which is believed to be crack,” Lawn said. “The officer also discovered a crack pipe in the sock of the man.”

Police arrested Daniel J. Sliney, 55, of 15 California Park in Watertown, and Allison M. Delaney, 42, of 39 Boyd St. in Watertown, were each arrested on a charge of possession of a Class B substance — crack, Lawn said.
