Pair of Men Caught Breaking into Cars at the Arsenal Mall

Watertown Police caught the men who were checking for unlocked cars and taking items from inside.

Police caught a pair of men who were driving around the Arsenal Mall parking lot breaking into unlocked cars and stealing items, said Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

A suspicious van was reported to police on June 14 at 7:50 p.m. when it was spotted driving from parking space to parking space. One of the men in the van checked car doors to see if they were unlocked.

When police stopped the van, they found inside a North Face backpack that had been reported missing earlier in the day, Lawn said.
