2 Forums Planned for Parents to Give Input on the Superintendent Search

One will be held in the morning on Jan. 26, the other in the evening on Feb. 9.

The following announcement was sent out by the Watertown Public Schools:

The Watertown School Committee is sponsoring a series of focus groups for staff, parents, and interested citizens regarding the criteria for the next Superintendent of Schools and the priorities needed by the district and community. The Committee’s Search Consultant, Glenn Koocher, the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC), will facilitate these scheduled focus groups. In addition, the Search Consultant is developing an electronic, online feedback survey that will be available to all staff, parents and interested citizens. An announcement will be made in the very near future as to the process for accessing this online survey. The selection criteria and feedback on priorities from individual focus groups and the online survey will be shared with members of the Screening Committee and the School Committee prior to the beginning of the screening/selection process.

There will be two Public Forums for parents and interested citizens. These forums are scheduled on the following dates/times and will run for approximately one and one-half hours each.
