A new program that encourages commuters to ditch their motors and use pedal power will open a hub in Watertown.
Park & Pedal, a multi-modal commuting system that encourages bicycle commuting by creating parking centers near heavy employment areas, will be setting up four parking spaces at the Arsenal Project, according to a Wicked Local report.

These hubs let commuters park and then get to work by bike, the report stated. The program started last week in Boston, and Watertown hopes to expand beyond its initial four parking spaces, the report added.
