PINE VILLAGE ANNOUNCES NEW SATURDAY SPANISH IMMERSION PROGRAM

Pine Village Spanish Immersion Preschool (mybiliginualpreschool.com) today announces a new 6-week Saturday program for 3-7 year olds to build their Spanish language skills, Juntos Conectamos (Together We Connect). The class, which focuses on introducing Spanish vocabulary, team building skills, conflict resolution and fostering healthy peer relationships, begins on Saturday, February 21st and will run through March 28th.

The Juntos Conectamos program is designed for children with minimal to moderate Spanish language exposure to build and grow their Spanish-speaking skills. Taught in a full Spanish Immersion setting, children will have exposure to Spanish vocabulary and culture in an engaging, interactive environment. The curriculum consists of weekly topics including, Empathy, Self-Awareness (breathing techniques), Care/Friendship, Awareness of Others (sharing/turn-taking/trading), Conflict Resolution (expressive language) and Teamwork.

“We’re excited to offer this new Saturday programming for children who want exposure to the Spanish language, but might not have the opportunity during the week,” says Emma LaVecchia, co-founder of Pine Village. “We’ve designed the program to nurture a passion for learning in each child and build excitement around the Spanish language and culture.”

The Juntos Conectamos class meets on Saturdays from 9am-10:30am at the new Pine Village Preschool location in Brighton at 400 Western Ave. The class is taught by Lucy Codoceo and Isabel Cristina Ceron, current Pine Village Preschool teachers with extensive early childhood education experience and a passion for teaching the Spanish language.
