Plymouth 5K To Benefit Family Of Fallen Watertown Firefighter

Each year, the Heroes Live Forever 5K helps raise money for the family of a fallen firefighter or police officer.

WATERTOWN, MA – Plymouth will host its annual Heroes Live Forever 5K this Saturday to raise money for the family of a fallen firefighter or police officer. This year, the Toscanos have been selected as the race beneficiary.

Firefighter Joseph Toscano died March 17 after collapsing at the scene of a fire in Watertown. Toscano was a married father of five and 20-year veteran of the department. His three sons and two daughters are all between the ages of 12 and 19.

The Heroes Live Forever 5K was established in 2014 in memory of Gregg Maloney, a Plymouth police officer who lost his life in the line of duty. Each year the race benefits the Maloney Family Pay-It-Forward Fund, which helps support police, fire and military families.
