Police Seek Suspect in String of Cars Damaged by BB Guns in Watertown

Up to five car windows may have been damaged by BBs or Pellets while parked on Watertown streets.

Watertown Police are looking for a suspect behind a series of windows that appear to have been broken by a BB gun, said Watertown Police Sgt. Thomas Grady.

Five cars had windows broken from June 14 to June 17 and police believe they were broken by BBs or pellets.

The passenger side window of a 2008 Saturn was damaged while it was parked on Arlington Street on June 14, Grady said.

On June 15, the owner of a 2011 Honda Accord reported that the rear passenger window was shattered while it was parked on Morse Street near Galen Street. Police officers said it appeared to be damaged by a pellet, Grady said.

The owner of a Jeep Grand Laredo found the rear window smashed while it was parked on Elm Street, Grady said. The incident was reported on June 15 at 7:55 p.m., and it appears a pellet may have been the cause.

Police responded to two other incidents that may be related to the BB gun attacks.

Also, the rear window of a 2005 Chevy Astro was damaged while it was parked on Poplar Street. Grady said it is unclear what caused the damage.

On June 17, the rear passenger side window of a 1998 Subaru Impreza was damaged while parked on Berkeley Street, Grady said.
