Long-Term Healthcare Provider treats residents to a day at the ballpark

Boston, MA - On Sunday, July 12th, Synergy Health Centers treated their residents and staff members with a special day at Fenway Park. Synergy rented a suite at Fenway Park for the storied rivalry contest between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees, inviting residents and staff from each of their 11 skilled nursing and rehab facilities. Many of these residents had never been to Fenway Park despite being life-long Red Sox fans. The day included premium seating with air conditioning, Fenway Franks, and even sushi.

Resident, Elizabeth DiMascio, from Watertown Health Center, a Synergy facility, said, “This was the first time I had ever been to Fenway Park, or at a baseball game, and it was an incredible experience. I took plenty of pictures, and will hold plenty of memories. I felt as though I was a queen for the afternoon. I felt cared for. If I was ever asked to go again, there is no way I would pass that up. The whole experience was amazing.”

“Seeing the smiles on these folk’s faces is the most rewarding part of this job and was more than enough to make up for that Yankees win”, said Dov Newmark, COO of Synergy Health Centers.
