This Alaska's Warm & Cuddly!

Alaska is a super friendly guy who seems to do very well with other cats. In fact, he goes around the shelter trying to make friends with all the cats here! Alaska, who is about 1.5 years old, also loves being petted and even picked up. Chin rubs a particular favorite of this cute guy and so are catnip toys. Alaska also loves to be brushed and even slept in bed with the person who rescued him off the street. Because of his easy going nature, he'd probably do well with children. So what's not to love?

If you are interested in meeting Alaska or any of the cats at The Ellen M. Gifford Cat Shelter, visit our website (www.giffordcatshelter.org). While you’re there, you can fill out an online adoption application for Alaska and learn more about our shelter. You can also call us at 617-787-8872. We are the oldest cageless no-kill cat shelter in the country, and we’re located right here in Brighton!

The mission of Gifford Cat Shelter is to provide a safe haven for abandoned, stray, abused, neglected, unwanted and injured cats with the goal of re-homing and ending the needless killing of community and companion cats. It was the first cageless shelter in the country and has been in existence since 1884.
