Three Day Armenian Street Festival and Fair Starts Friday in Watertown

Celebrate Watertown's Armenian heritage with three days of music, dancing, food and more at the Armenian Street Fair and Festival.

The weekend-long event will be held at the (ACEC), 47 Nichols Avenue, in Watertown, and runs from Friday, July 20 to Sunday, July 22, 2012. 

Entry is free to the food and craft vendors, and tickets will be sold for the musical performances. Proceeds to benefit the Armenian Cultural and Educational Center (ACEC), a nonprofit organization that works to spread and nourish Armenian culture through the community center.

This year, festival attendees will be entertained by internationally renowned Armenian musicians including Harout Pamboukjian, Arman Hovhannisyan, John Berberian Ensemble featuring Onnik Dinkjian, Arev Armenian Folks Ensemble, Karen Kocharyan Quartet featuring Jerry Bergonzi and Classic Groove.

Food and gourmet tastings will be provided by local food vendors including Tutunjian Wines, Eastern Lamejun, Massis Bakery and Fastachi. Local chefs including Ani Catering & Takeout and Armenian Market Bakery will serve authentic Armenian cuisine and put on cooking demonstrations.

There will even be fun for the kids, including a special visit by Wally of the Boston Red Sox as well as a Gladiator Joust and Bounce House.
