The robber appeared to get into the home through back windows.

Three Watertown homes were broken into, and the robber or robbers appeared to get into the houses through a back window.
The first break in was reported on May 16 at 11:27 a.m. A Church Street resident said she was watching television and when she went into her bedroom she found her drawers had been rummaged through, jewelry boxes were opened and jewelry was missing, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.
"She had the bedroom door closed and she was watching TV in the front room," Lawn said. "She heard a noise in the back of the house, but she thought it was from an upstairs neighbor."

"The resident of the first floor observed a white chair up against the side of the house and the screen window half open," Lawn said. "Entry was not gained."
Later that day, at 6:30 p.m., a house on Templeton Parkway (not far from Salisbury Road) was broken into, Lawn said.
"An elderly resident woke up and noticed a jewelry box on the dresser had been disturbed," Lawn said. "Items were moved around, the top drawer was open and she was missing her pocketbook, which contained cash, credit cards and other items."
Police looked around the house and found a screen that was pushed up just above an air conditioning unit, Lawn said. They found the empty pocketbook in the corner of the yard.
