TV Journalist R.D. Sahl to Speak to Watertown-Belmont Chamber of Commerce
He will share his perspective on the 2012 Presidential campaign.

R.D. Sahl, veteran Boston television journalist, will share his perspective on the 2012 Presidential election campaign as guest speaker of the “Neighbors and Newsmakers” luncheon hosted by the Watertown-Belmont Chamber of Commerce at Oakley Country Club in Belmont on Thursday, March 22.
Sahl, a long-time news anchor at both Channel 7 and NECN, has spent his career covering stories down the block and around the world. During the past 45 years he’s reported on nine presidents, four popes and the frostiest days of the Cold War leading up to the collapse of Communism. Back in Boston, he’s a visiting professor of Journalism at Boston University’s College of Communication, a special correspondent to NECN and senior advisor at the Boston public relations firm of Denterlein.

Sahl grew up in a Navy family. He is an honors graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. His work has been honored with numerous regional Emmy awards.
Currently he’s part of the political team at NECN covering the 2012 election.
