Two Incidents on Bromfield Street Have Watertown Police on Alert
A bike was stolen and a few days later someone tried to break into a home.

A bike theft and an attempted break-in on Bromfield Street in one week have prompted the Watertown Police to put special focus on the West End neighborhood.
On Aug. 5, a Bromfield Street-resident discovered that his mountain bike had been stolen from an open garage between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., said Police Sgt. Thomas Grady. The man reported it to police on Aug. 8.
The green Trek 7.3 FX mountain bike is reportedly worth $700.
