Two Injured in Accident in Which One Vehicle Rolled Over on Arlington Street
One woman was taken to hospital after the accident, in which the vehicle ran off the road and struck a utility pole.

A vehicle ran off the road, struck a utility pole and rolled over at the intersection of Coolidge Hill Road and Arlington Tuesday morning at 8:41 a.m., sending one woman to the hospital, and injured the driver of a second car.
The driver of the car that rolled over got out before emergency crews arrived, said Deputy Fire Chief Tom McManus. She suffered non-life threatening injuries, but fire crews immobilized her as a precaution and took her to Beth Israel Hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and declined to be taken to hospital, McManus said.

The accident, which occurred near Matilda’s restaurant, could have been worse, McManus said.
“It was a matter of luck, somebody could have been seriously hurt,” McManus said. “The car that rolled over struck a utility pole near Matilda’s. It’s lucky no one was on sidewalk and the driver was lucky she wasn’t hurt more seriously.”
