Two Men Arrested in Watertown on Cocaine Trafficking Charges

A task force of Middlesex County law enforcement agencies busted the men as they tried to make a drug deal.

Two men face cocaine trafficking charges after police observed them making a drug deal on Howard Street.

The Watertown Police assisted the Southern Middlesex Drug Task Force make the arrest on Aug. 25 at 5:21 p.m.

Jose G. Vargas, 32, of 11 Antrim St. Apt 1 in East Boston, and Edward P. Aucoin, 43, of 39 Hammond Street in Waltham, were seen making a drug deal in the parking lot of 60 Howard St., said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

The men has 1 ounce of cocaine when police stopped them, Lawn said.

Both men face a charge of trafficking cocaine and conspiring to violated drug laws, Lawn said.
