Watertown Attic Fire Quickly Doused
The fire started in the attic of the a two-story home on Wilson Avenue.
WATERTOWN, MA — The Watertown Fire Department made quick work of an attic fire at started on Friday. The fire broke out in a multi-family home on Wilson Avenue around 2:30 p.m.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Officials said one person was home in the multi-family home and called in a burning smell to the department. No one was injured, officials said, but there was damage to the attic.
Water damage may also have leaked down to the first two floors of the home. Officials said residents may be able to go back into the home, depending on whether the gas and electric is turned off due to the damage.
