Watertown Children’s Theatre Introduces Its New Producing Director of Programming
Kelly MacIsaac comes to Watertown after working in the Washington, D.C., area.

The Watertown Children Theatre sent out the following announcement:
Watertown Children’s Theatre is pleased to announce the arrival of our new Producing Director of Programming, Kelly MacIsaac. She has been hired to step into this role following the departure of Producing Artistic Director, Peyton Pugmire, who left WCT this summer for a position at Boston Conservatory.
MacIsaac joins WCT after spending the last 4 years living near Washington, D.C., where she worked as a teaching artist and administrator in the Education and Outreach department at Round House Theatre in Silver Spring, Maryland.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this amazing organization,” MacIsaac said. “The opportunity to work with this group of such talented and passionate people to continue offering theater to the youth of the Watertown community is a dream job for me.”
The staff and board at Watertown Children’s Theatre are looking forward to the start of the Fall programming season, with MacIsaac ready to continue the mission of producing quality children’s theatre programming.

Dinah Lane, Founding Artistic Director, says ”Kelly comes to us with valuable experience in the arts and children's programming, as well as tremendous energy and enthusiasm for WCT's mission and programmatic goals. We are very excited to have her join the rest of the talented and dedicated WCT staff."
WCT provides a variety of classes, workshops, and shows, as well as vacation programs during February, April, and summer months. It also offers co-sponsored programs (April and summer) with ArsenalArts and year-round voice lessons and periodic dance courses.
The mission of the Watertown Children’s Theatre is to be a cultural and educational resource for the community by providing opportunities for all children to appreciate and participate in the performing arts, to provide a range of theatre experiences for children of diverse cultures and different ages, and to foster self-discovery, creativity, confidence, group responsibility, and pride in accomplishment, as well as the development of skills in an enjoyable non-competitive atmosphere.
