Mystery, adventure, fun and laughter, we’ve got a little of everything coming up this fall at Watertown Children’s Theatre! And with programs for all ages, from kindergarten to ninth grade, if you’d like to do some theatre this fall, we’ve got something for you!

Dragons, treasures, and an exciting quest await Bilbo, the dwarves, and the many others they meet along the way in "The Hobbit." This musical production is an opportunity for children in grades 3-5 to go on an epic journey, with music, dance, and a whole lot of adventure! Orientation begins on Sunday, Sept. 11. Junior Players, our companion program for 1st and 2nd graders, offers Monday afternoon classes, learning songs and dances to perform along with the cast of The Hobbit.  Classes begin on Monday, Sept. 26. "The Hobbit" will be performed Nov. 18-20.

Edgar Allen Poe wrote stories and poems that have entertained readers for over a hundred years, with twists and turns in them that continue to mystify and delight.  This fall, sixth- to ninth-graders can experience his life and tales in our Play Factory production "Poe! Poe! Poe!"  Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, Sept. 13. "Poe! Poe! Poe!" will be performed Oct. 28-30.

For kindergartners and first-graders, WCT offers its popular Page to Stage program, on Saturday mornings beginning Sept. 24. Mama, Papa, Sister and Brother Bear are the familiar characters of the popular "Berenstain Bears" series. Come explore the stories of this family and their Bear Country friends, and work with the staff to adapt and perform one of their tales with costumes, sets and a final presentation for family and friends on the Mosesian Theater stage.
