Watertown Convenience Store Broken into for the Second Week in a Row
Burglars stole cigarettes and money from the Bus Stop Market in a late night robbery.

For the second week in a row, robbers hit the convenience store on Galen Street – this time they took cigarettes, cash and a Blue Tooth earpiece, said Police Sgt. Thomas Grady.
On Aug. 5 at 2:49 a.m., a police officer on patrol saw an unusual opening in the front door of convenience store. The window on the front door had been broken, and the robbers took 50 packs of cigarettes, $200 in cash and a Blue Tooth earpiece, Grady said.
When break in appeared to be recent, Grady said, so police called in help from Newton and a Massachusetts State Police search dog team, but no suspect was found.

A taxi driver who passed by the store minutes before the police officer arrived said he saw two men run from the store.
“The officer missed the break in by about 90 seconds,” Grady said.
