Watertown Field Hockey Dominance Extended With Another Title

The Raiders faced a tough test but are champions for the eighth straight time.

Once again, Oakmont's loss in Watertown's gain.

The Raiders beat Oakmont, 4-3, Saturday afternoon at WPI for the Division 2 championship - their eighth straight state title. It's the fourth time in that stretch that Watertown beat Oakmont for the championship.

It was anything but easy for the Raiders, who won their nation-best 123d straight game (to go along with a 183-game unbeaten streak.) Kourtney Kennedy scored the game-winning goal with less than nine minutes left in the second half, breaking a 3-all deadlock.
