Watertown Fire Crews Extinguish 2 Alarm Blaze In Hair Salon
No one was injured but smoke spewed out of the back door.
WATERTOWN, MA — A two-alarm fire broke out in a hair salon in Watertown on Saturday. The fire reportedly started in the basement of the business and spewed smoke out of the back door. Watertown fire crews were helped by companies in Cambridge, Waltham, Newton and Belmont.
The fire started on Saturday morning inside of a Hair Pluss hair salon on Grove Street. Hoses were used on the lower levels of the building and firefighters used ladders to attack the blaze from the roof.
No one was injured in the fire. Employees in the business worked with fire crews to pull valuables out and salvage what they could. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
