Watertown Fire Log: Oct. 24 to Oct. 30
A kitchen fire, a woman gets stuck in an elevator and teen treated for being shot by a BB gun.

Oct. 25, 6:19 a.m.: A woman got stuck in an elevator that broke down on the eighth floor of a building on Waverley Avenue. Firefighters forced open the door to get the woman out because she was getting very nervous. The woman suffered no injuries.
Oct. 26, 8:38 a.m.: A fire started in a bottom kitchen cabinet in a home on Stoneleigh Road. Fire and police personnel quickly removed an elderly couple. Firefighters searched for a cat that the couple was worried about. The cat was found in the basement, unharmed. The cause of the fire was limked to a towel that had been used to wipe up grease around an electrical burner on the stovetop. The towel was put back in a drawer, and it caught fire.
Oct. 27, 9:21 p.m.: A woman was struck by a car while she was crossing School Street at Mt. Auburn Street. She had a bruised hand, but no other injuries. She refused treatment from fire crews.

Oct. 28, 3:14 p.m.: A fire engine went to Belmont Street to deal with a gasoline spill. It was covered by speedi-dri.
Oct. 28, 5:49 p.m.: A woman hurt her leg when her leg fell into a sewer drain. She suffered bruises and cuts on her lower leg. She was given an ice pack, but she did not want to be taken to hospital.

Oct. 29, 10:13 p.m.: A man slipped and fell on Waverley Avenue. His right leg was rotated outward, and fire crews treated him for a possible hip fracture. He was taken to Mount Auburn Hospital.
Oct. 30, 5:08 p.m.: that was shot by a BB gun on Main Street. The BB did not penetrate the skin. He was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
