Watertown Man Arrested for OUI After being Caught Driving 80 mph on Arsenal Street

Police caught the man, and detected alcohol on his breath.

Watertown Police clocked a car going 80 miles per hour down Arsenal Street on Nov. 18 at 2:46 a.m., and when the driver was pulled over he was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

The driver was pulled over on Dexter Avenue, said Police Lt. Michael Lawn, and was identified as Hussein M. Taha.

When the office talked to Taha, he detected an odor of alcohol on his breath. Field sobriety tests were conducted and Taha was placed under arrest.

Taha, 23, of 62 Dexter Ave. in Watertown, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and speeding, Lawn said.
