Watertown Man Busted with Heroin, Mushrooms and Marijuana

The 27-year-old man was caught after a month-long investigation by Boston Police.

An undercover police officer set up a drug buy with a Watertown man, and when he was arrested officers discovered he had a variety of drugs in his Stearns Road home.

David Waxman, 27, was arrested after a month-long drug investigation conducted by Boston Police, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Search warrants were obtained to search Waxman's home and Waxman himself.

The officer set up a drug deal on Nov. 22, Lawn said.

"Waxman was observed leaving his residence, walked down the street by the Hosmer School, and he was stopped by police," Lawn said. "On his person, officers discovered the mushrooms and also marijuana."

When police searched Waxman's home, they found heroin, methamphetamine, Klonopin, Valium and more psilocybin mushrooms, Lawn said.

Waxman, of 11 Stearns Road in Watertown, was arrested on Nov. 22 at 2:57 p.m. on charges of drug violation near a school, possession of a Class D substance to distribute - a subsequent offense, possession of a Class A substance - a subsequent offense, possession of a Class B substance - a subsequent offense, distributing a Class C substance - a subsequent offense, and two counts of possession of a Class E substance, Lawn said.
