Watertown Man Dies in Vermont Skiing Accident

Shirinian Varter collided with a tree, according to Vermont State Police.

WATERTOWN, MA - A Watertown man died Monday in a skiing accident, Vermont State Police said.

Shirinian Varter, 58, crashed into a tree after losing control at Burke Mountain Ski Area in Vermont, according to police.

Police said Varter was skiing with a family member on the Big Dipper Trail when he crashed at approximately 3:40 p.m. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
