Watertown Man Under Psychological Evaluation After Being Charged with Attempted Murder
Man allegedly attempted to strangle a relative, pointed a BB gun at her head.

A Watertown man was ordered to undergo psychological evaluation by the court after he allegedly attacked a family member, choking the woman and threatened her with a BB gun, Watertown Police said.
Aaron Morgan Cutts, 36, of 44 Webster St. in Dracut, was arrested May 6 at 2:52 p.m. on charges of attempted murder by strangulation and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, Watertown Police Sgt. Thomas Grady said.
On the previous day, Cutts allegedly confronted his relative – who he was staying with – about her boyfriend who had been staying with her, according to the police report filed at the Waltham District Court.

Cutts asked if the boyfriend would continue staying at the house, and when she said yes, he lunged at her and grabbed her around her throat, choking her, according to the police report.
She squirmed away, but Cutts then put a hard, silver object to her head and said it was a gun. Then he pulled out a knife and showed it to her.

Cutts then threatened her, the boyfriend and other family members, the woman told police.
The woman waited until morning to report the incident to police because she worried he may try to hurt her again.
After being alerted to the incident, police helped the woman got an emergency restraining order against Cutts. Then they went to the house to arrest Cutts.
According to the report, Cutts went without incident. Officers found a silver air pistol, three samurai swords, knives and pepper spray, for which Cutts did not have a license to have.
The woman told police Cutts has had problems with depression another issues, and had been treated at hospital and takes several medicines to deal with his issues.
Cutts was taken to hospital for evaluation, and then was arraigned on May 9. He was released on $5,000 bail, and is due back in court on May 31 for a probable cause hearing.
