Watertown Middle School Musical Gets a Boost from NBC's "Smash"
WMS is one of 20 schools chosen for grants to help their musical productions, Watertown Splash reports.

Watertown Middle School's spring musical will get a boost from NBC's new musical drama "Smash" and preparations for the production will be featured during broadcasts of the show.
Watertown Splash, the WMS student newspaper, reports that chorus/theater teacher Abby Casey applied for the grant, and the middle school was one of the lucky 20 schools nationally picked to be part of the grant program.

"Smash" and iTheatrics of New York City will come in with equipment, props, and costumes, Splash reports. Rehersals will be taped and footage will be will be shown during commercial breaks of “Smash.”
