Watertown Outages: More than 3,000 Without Power

WATERTOWN, MA – Thousands in Watertown are without power Thursday morning, according to Eversource Energy.

According to the outage map on Eversource's website, 3,968 customers are without power in Watertown. The company serves 17,542 in the city; the number of outages is nearly a quarter of Eversource's customers in Watertown.

A spokesperson for Eversource said in an email the cause of the outages was a squirrel coming into contact with its electrical equipment.
