Watertown PD Holding Rape Aggression Defense Classes
The self-defense course for women begins in October.

WATERTOWN, MA – Watertown police will host a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) course for women next month. The program is a free and teaches realistic self-defense tactics, concepts and techniques.
The course is taught by certified instructors from the Watertown Police Department and consists of four three-hour sessions. It begins with tactics for awareness, prevention and risk reduction, before progressing to hands-on defense training.
Classes are Oct. 16, 18, 23 and 25 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at 749 Mt. Auburn Street. Seating is limited; please RSVP to Cindy Collin at ccollin@police.watertown-ma.gov.
