Watertown PD Use App To Stay Connected With Residents

With the MyPD App residents can share crime tips with police, ask questions or just get in touch.

(Watertown Police Department)

WATERTOWN, MA — Watertown police are using an app to strengthen it's relationship with the community. The department reminded residents on Wednesday to download the MyPD app as another way to let officers know what's happening in their neighborhoods.

The app allows residents to get in contact with police and easily submit crime tips, ask questions or even let the department know when an officer was helpful. The app allows for total anonymity if residents aren't comfortable giving their personal information.

The app can be found in the app store under MyPD or My Police Department. Watertown police reminded residents who already downloaded the app to update as a new version was recently released.
