Watertown Photographer's Work on Display in Concord for MLK Day

Joseph Weiler's shots from the late 1960s will be shown at Walden Pond.

Henry David Thoreau wrote his essay "Civil Disobedience" in his cabin on the shore of Walden Pond in Concord, and his words went on to inspire such civil rights and human rights leaders as Mahatma Ghandi and Martin Luther King Jr.

This year, as part of the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr., a photo essay by Watertown photographer Joseph Flack Weiler will shown at Walden Pond State Reservation, 915 Walden St. in Concord. The photos come from the Civil Rights movements in Boston from the 1960s to today.

The exhibit accompanies the Civil Disobedience program commemorating Martin Luther King Day.
